Does Your Facility Have a Combustible Dust Hazard?
If your process generates fine dust from wood, metal, grain, sugar, plastics, or chemicals, the answer is often yes, and the rules changed recently. As of December 2024, NFPA 660 consolidated the older combustible dust standards (including NFPA 652 and 654) into a single framework. A Dust Hazard Analysis is still the starting point for knowing where you stand.
