Nate, the owner of Lancaster’s Mobile Mechanic, is great! I still go to my regular mechanic S&H Automotive, who always prices things very fairly, but I’m writing about Nate and Lancaster Mobile Mechanic because he’s come to the rescue a number of times for myself and my wife.
He stands by his work and takes on complicated work. Right outside my window, he’s replacing an electronic part that controls my heating and cooling in the car and a few months ago, he replaced a component in the steering column in my wife’s car.

Last time, he ordered a part for me and drove over, but when he went to open it, the bag had already been opened. It was supposed to be new, but it was clearly used. It was a mistake made by the company selling the part. He installed it to be sure and tested it (because it was an electronics part). It registered the same error as before. Since he had to run back out and reinstall the same part again a week later, I offered to pay for the time or split the difference. He refused. Not only that, but he bought a special screwdriver to access the piece that would ultimately cut the cost of the job by a good bit.
Nate refused to take payment for the extra time spent and immediately re-ordered the part and scheduled a new time.
Toyota said the dashboard would need to be removed to fix it. Nate bought a special screwdriver and fixed it without pulling the dashboard, making it faster and cheaper.
I’ve been to other mechanics and have done some research on expensive jobs. Nate always comes in with a very fair price.
